Why we're building Semodo
Semodo started as a frustration. After years of consulting work in technology and architecture, I had tried most tools for keeping track of time, projects, and clients. None of them really fit. Either they were too complex, too generic, or they lacked the features I actually needed.
As a solo entrepreneur and consultant, you have a unique set of needs. You need to invoice correctly, have an overview of projects, and at the same time not drown in administration. Most tools on the market are built for either large organizations or for a single specific function.
Semodo is our attempt to build something better. A suite of tools designed to work together, with a focus on simplicity and clarity. No unnecessary features, no steep learning curve — just what you need to run your business.
We started with time tracking because it's the foundation. If you don't know where time goes, you can't invoice correctly, prioritize smartly, or understand your business. But Semodo will grow. Project overview, customer management, and invoicing are on the roadmap.
There's another aspect too: trust. As a user of SaaS tools, I've often felt uncertain about what happens to my data, how long the service will exist, and whether the company behind it really understands my needs. With Semodo, we want to be transparent. We're building for ourselves first, and that means we'll use the tools every day.
If you're also looking for simpler ways to manage your business, join us on the journey. We've just started.
